Polymers form the core and are the origin of Unitika's wide-ranging operations

Biomass-based material(Terramac)

"Terramac" is a biomass material based on plant-derived polylactide(PLA). In resin and plastic molding applications, durability and flame-resistance have been improved to expand the sales of modified resins. In nonwoven applications, deployment for civil engineering and sanitary applications is being enhanced.

Unitika Terramac film

Biomass material made from renewable plant materials such as corn. This film can be processed into a variety of shapes and widely used for a lot of film applications.

Unitika Terramac resin (heat-resistant/durable grade)

Terramac is used to make the bodies of mobile phones. As such, biomass materials have made their way into daily life.

Unitika Terramac heat-resistant sheet

The world's first heat-resistant polylactide-based sheet has been developed.Containers formed of this sheet can be used with hot water and in microwave ovens.

Unitika Terramac nonwoven fabric

A biomass-based nonwoven fabric with excellent air and water permeability. Terramac would be completely biodegradable and finally decompose into carbon dioxide and water after use.
