Cotton Spunlace
100% cotton spunlace nonwoven fabric

Cotton Spunlace is spunlace nonwoven fabric produced by entangling cotton fibers firmly by water jets (water jet interlaced nonwoven fabric). This fabric is made of 100% cotton and manufactured by bonding fibers into a sheet only with hydraulic power without the use of a binder, which makes it safe for use in skin-touching products.

Vallue-Added Cotton Spunlace
Various features can be added to the fabric

Various features can be added to Unitika's Cotton Spunlace nonwovens. It is possible not only to add a drug but also to give diverse patterns using Unitika's unique techniques.

  • Sheetlike objects (paper pieces, flexible nets, etc.) can be put between short fibers.

Polyester and Cotton Spunlace
Spunlace nonwoven fabric made of cotton and synthetic fiber

Polyester and Cotton Spunlace is spunlace nonwoven fabric (water jet interlaced nonwoven fabric) made of cotton and synthetic fiber. Unlike Cotton Spunlace made of 100% cotton, sheets of this fabric can be made harder (stronger) or softer by adding synthetic fiber.

By blending Unitika's major heat fusible fiber, it is possible to produce much stronger sheets while maintaining the water-absorbing and moisture-retaining properties of cotton.
Thanks to the feature of this binder fiber, thermoforming is easy and, depending on conditions, thermal fusion bonding may be possible as well.

It is also possible to blend splitable fibers with cotton. One splitable fiber is split into 20 ultra-fine synthetic fibers, with fiber fineness each being only 0.14 dtx. When blended with cotton, the ultra-fine fibers of the fabric exhibit extremely high wiping performance while maintaining the water- and oil-absorbing properties of cotton.

Cellulose and Cotton Spunlace
Spunlace nonwoven fabric made from eucalyptus

Cellulose and Cotton Spunlace is spunlace nonwoven fabric (water jet interlaced nonwoven fabric) produced using Lyocell, plant-derived fiber made mainly from eucalyptus (refined cellulose of Lenzing AG of Austria). As fibers are entangled together more firmly, the sheets can be made stronger while maintaining the texture. Blending synthetic fiber can make the sheets even stronger.

  • High washing durability.
  • The low-lint fabric is suitable for wiping.
  • Water-absorbing and water-retaining properties equivalent to those of Cotton Spunlace.
