(3) Thermal Degradation

Plastics gradually degrade thermally when used at high temperature for an extended period of time. The thermal Degradation in tensile strength is shown in Figure 22. In the figure, the samples indicated as "Heat Resistant" are those that are previously subjected to a heat-resisting treatment. (Test method: ASTM)
