Molding Condition

Among many plastics, Nylon resins are rather easier in molding.
UNITIKA nylon 6 resins have a variety of grades for injection and extrusion molding.
UNITIKA resins provide excellent molding processability, regardless of the size or shape of the products. Typical molding conditions and the relevant data are summarized in the following Table.

<Molding Shrinkage>

The values of molding shrinkage vary generally according to the molding conditions including the kind of grades, thickness of molding pieces, resin temperature, injection pressure, mold temperature, and others. These factors should be considered in designing the molds. The relationship between the molding shrinkage and the thickness of molding pieces is shown in Figure 23.

<Water-Absorbing Speed of Pellets>  
The water-absorbing speed of A1030JR pellet when stored under an environment of 20 to 25°C and 60 to 65% RH is shown in Figure 24.
