Vinylon is PVA(Poly Vinyl Alcohol) fibre and the first synthetic fibre developed in Japan and commercialized in 1950.
Initially Vinylon is developed and used for garments application.
However, it is substituted by Polyester and Nylon Fibre later in garments market. Vinylon has a new market as industrial materials due to its advantage of High Tenacity, High Modulus, Low Elongation, Mewlon® is our brand name.
UNITIKA continues new development of PVA fibre to meet the demand in new markets.
