Performance materials opening the door to the world of possibilities.
Innovation and absolute quality bringing light to the unknown.

The performance material business segment of Unitika develops a range of materials, including nonwoven fabrics, glass fabrics, glass beads, activated carbon fibers, porous plates, as well as a wide range of industrial materials.
While responding to a wide range of detailed needs by customizing our products for our customers, we are also expanding into new applications through the development of high-performance and high value-added products using composite material technologies. Through our unique ideas and technologies, we plant the seeds of possibility to create special applications and never-before-seen performances and products.

Activated Carbon Fibers

UNITIKA's activated carbon fiber, which we have developed by leveraging our melt-spinning technology, provides an extremely high adsorption speed compared with powdered or granular activated carbon. It adsorbs impurities from liquids and odors from the air. By taking advantage of the features of activated carbon fiber, we help people live comfortably.
