Participation in Initiatives

The Unitika Group has been endorsing the Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA), a platform for promoting initiatives aimed at solving the issue of marine plastics pollution, since CLOMA’s establishment. We are also continuing to develop and distribute environmentally-friendly materials.

In March 2022, the Unitika Group also endorsed the GX League Basic Concept, which was announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). We have continued to endorse this concept since the beginning of its full-scale operation in April 2023, and are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

In June 2022, the Unitika Group also announced our endorsement of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Recommendations, and carried out climate change risk analyses and scenario analyses. We will continue to disclose further information going forward.
